Terms & Conditions
Last updated: January 1, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services, products, and website operated by UNITED MIGRATION (PVT) LTD ("we", "our", "us"). By using our website, purchasing services or products, or enrolling in courses, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into contracts to use our services. If you purchase services on behalf of a company or third party, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Services and products
We provide visa consultancy, document preparation, online courses and LMS access, and digital products. Service descriptions on the website form part of these Terms but do not constitute a contractual guarantee of outcome (e.g., visa approval), unless explicitly stated in a written agreement.
3. Orders, payments and taxes
- Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline orders at our discretion.
- Payment is due at the time of purchase. We use third-party payment processors; you agree to the processor’s terms for handling payment information. We do not store full card numbers.
- Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout and exclude any local taxes, duties or fees unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
4. Delivery and access
Delivery terms (timelines, methods, and access instructions) will be communicated at purchase. For digital products and courses, access is granted via the LMS or a download link. You are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and for checking your email (including spam folders) for delivery notifications.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
Our Refund and Return Policy governs cancellations and refunds. Key points:
- Once you have received the goods or services (including grant of access to digital products or LMS), refunds are not available.
- If we do not deliver within the promised timeframe and the delay is our responsibility, we will provide a full refund upon your request.
- Cancellations made before delivery or before access is granted may be eligible for a refund per the Return & Refund Policy.
6. Client responsibilities
- You must provide complete, accurate, and timely information and documents needed for us to deliver services (e.g., passport scans, supporting documents for visa applications).
- Delays caused by incomplete or incorrect information provided by you may affect service delivery and do not qualify for refunds under clause 5.
- You must comply with any instructions given for course participation or document submission.
7. Intellectual property
All content, materials, trademarks, and course content provided by us are our property or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8. Confidentiality
We will treat documents and personal information you provide as confidential and process them in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may share information with third parties only as necessary to provide services or as required by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNITED MIGRATION (PVT) LTD and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from services or use of our website.
- Losses resulting from delays caused by third parties, government authorities, postal services, or force majeure events.
Our aggregate liability for direct losses arising from a proven breach of these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
10. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide services with reasonable skill and care but do not warrant that use of our site or services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not guarantee visa approvals or outcomes that depend on third-party decisions or government bodies.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. Changes to Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
